Last Day of School and Zoo Trip

Last Day of School 2021-2022

Rileys last day of 4th grade, Augusts last day of 1st, and Noras last day of Preschool.

This summer they have asked to learn about space so we will be starting that. Next year we will be learning about the middle ages in history and animal classification in science! 5th, 2nd, and Kindergarten should be a blast!

Omaha Zoo Trip

This was a fun little trip! It was neat to end the school year with something so fun.

Summer at home

The kids and I have been trying to go to the aquatic center a lot. It was pretty cool the week before they left for VBS in Marion but we went anyway. They had a great time going down the slides, playing in the splash pad area with a playground and a giant bucket that fills and dumps on them. August goes crazy for the bucket!

Field trip and Riley Turns 10!

Augusts last day of enrichment classes for 1st grade were at Mcfarland Park in Ames. August and Nora had a great time wandering around and looking for Spring flowers blooming in the woods!

Goat Field Trip

August, Riley and Nora can now cook pancakes on their own. We are still working on mixing up the batter.

It was 5 days of getting to be around horses and other farm animals and she had a fantastic time!

Snow In January. The kids built two wonderful snowpeople.

Human Body

We started a human body project in February. I traced the outline of each child on a large piece of paper and as we learned about the different systems they added to their bodies throughout the second half of the school year.

STEM at the Library

Library stem event. each kid made a tool to reach candy. Riley and August had a great time even though they couldn't eat the candy. Nora was happy that she got it all!
