Just hanging out around the house and getting back into the school routine after winter break! I love getting pictures of them playing well, snuggling, and reading together. It keeps me going on the weeks when they are not getting along as well.
This was a really great book that we read when learning about how wind is made and August made a drawing of a castle with a windmill on top!
Riley was having such a great time on the phone with her cousin that I had to get a picture. They hadn't chatted in a long time.

Pirates
We had a lot of fun learning about pirates. We learned what the golden age of piracy was, the difference between a privateer and a pirate, famous male and female pirates, favored ship types and fighting styles, and we even made our own pirate flags but I don't think that they will cause people to be afraid at the sight of them!

Just playing games and attacking Daddy! They pulled this out and started playing all on their own while I was making dinner!
This book didn't help us to learn about weather and precipitation but it did make us laugh and have a really lovely evening! I made spaghetti and meatballs and read it while they were eating dinner. They loved it and still request it! I like to mix in fiction books about the same topic that we are learning about.
